Flying Robots NYC is a meetup group dedicated to flying robots. We prefer the open source world, such as the ardupilot, paparrazi, open pilot, etc, but if it flies and is a robot, we like it.
We also love autonomy. Flying a robot around with a person in charge is cool, but when the robot thinks for itself and flies on its own, it’s much better.
We have regular meetups at the Radio Control Society of Marine Park where we meet and fly robots around. Sometimes we meet in the city to just hang out and chat.
We’re putting together a competition for the fall of this year so people can come out and show off their flying robots. The winners of the competition will also receive valuable prizes.
